Dubai Health Authority announced that during the last period of the year it managed to examine (700) thousand customers in medical fitness centres distributed over different geographical areas in the emirate of Dubai.
The Authority has also announced that it plans to launch two new centres to conduct medical fitness tests early next year, bringing the number of medical centres to 16 equipped with the latest equipment and qualified medical staff to work in this area.
This was announced during a press conference held by Khalid Ahmed Sheikh Mubarak, Deputy Director of DHA with Salah Abdul Rahman Amiri, Assistant Director-General of the services sector of the environment and public health at Dubai Municipality, Maisa Al Bustani, Director of Services medical fitness and Heba Al Shaar, Director of Institutional Marketing and Communications Department of Health Authority and Mr. Maalainen Salama, Head of media relations team at Dubai Municipality.
Khalid Sheikh Mubarak explained that the authority has in the past period developed many centres for the provision of medical fitness tests and there are 14 centers in different areas of the emirate of which 9 are the main centres, 5 are sub-centres which provide a number of services and the results of medical examination within 3 hours maximum such as in Safa and Knowledge Village Centre. He pointed to the capacity of some of the centres of more than 4000 customers a day such as Muhaisna Centre.
The Deputy Director General of Dubai Health Authority added that the Authority intends to launch the two new medical fitness centres early next year, one in the Rashidiya area to examine families and servants and other categories, and the other in Al Quoz to provide a service fitness check for medical workers to save time, effort and make it easier for these groups to obtain the services of medical fitness examination.
