The agreement will allow all Al-Koot/AXA medical insurance scheme members, mainly employees of Qatar Petroleum and their dependants, to acquire both primary and secondary medical services directly at AAH effective November 15.
Signatories to the agreement were AAH managing director and chief executive officer Abdulwahed al-Mawlawi, Al-Koot Insurance and Reinsurance Company chief executive officer Ahmed Rafee al-Emadi, and AXA Insurance Gulf regional operations manager for healthcare Andre Daoud.
Al-Mawlawi said the agreement was one of the most strategic steps taken by AAH as it would bring approximately 80,000 new guests (patients) to the hospital.
Al-Emadi said: “This agreement comes as a result of our continuous efforts to develop Al-Koot network of medical service providers, where its medical insurance card holders can access all services provided by AAH.”
He mentioned that Al-Koot’s medical service providers’ network covered over 96% of hospitals, clinics, laboratories and pharmacies in Qatar, in addition to tens of thousands of international medical centres around the globe.
