Al-Tayer receives DSC’s Sports Medicine Unit officials

Mattar Al-Tayer, Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has received the chairman of the Council’s Sport Medicine Unit Dr Ramadan Ibrahim and Deputy Chairman Nasser Aman Al-Rahma.

At the meeting which was held upon directives from H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council to promote sports and provide medical care for athletes, Al-Tayer has urged for the immediate implementation of the unit’s plans ahead of the start of the season.

Present at the meeting was Dr Ahmed Al-Shareef, Secretary General of DSC.

The Sport Medicine Unit was set up on June 10th by DSC and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to promote and advance sports medicine practice through out Dubai’s Sport Clubs. It governs the Sport Medicine Activity in Dubai, and provide sports medicine and sports performance services of Olympic standard to all sportspeople regardless of age, gender or competitive level.
