Under the banner “Washing hands for Better Health”, the programme aims to raise awareness of the importance of washing hands with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent communicable disease across the world. The day was observed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) last Friday under the slogan “Be aware, wash with care.”
The programme at Zabeel Park, started with a sketch performed by students on food safety and the importance of hand washing. Lifebuoy, a partner in the programme, also participated.
