GE exhibits interventional cardiology imaging technology

GE Healthcare showcased its latest interventional cardiology offerings, Innova Vision Technologies, at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) 2010 symposium in Washington, DC, last week.

The product line offers navigation for cardiologists for structural heart procedures, utilizing real-time 2D x-ray images and 3D cardiac models from multiple modalities, such as vascular x-ray, CT and MR, and image stabilization features, stated the company.

Also highlighted was the Innova 3100-IQ Optima Edition, an interventional combo lab for both interventional cardiology and interventional radiology needs, which combines GE’s Advantage Workstation VolumeShare multimodality visualization and navigation workstation to provide 3D/CT/MR image overlay on fluoroscopy studies. The system is available on GE’s Innova 2100 IQ cardiovascular x-ray system along with the complete line of single-plane Innova systems, the company said.
