UAE Minister of Health Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali, inaugurated the family health festival at Dubai Festival City in presence of health leaders and officials.
In remarks at the opening ceremony, the minister said: “the Ministry aims to bolster partnerships in the community and raise awareness against chronic diseases and to help avoid infections through.” He added that all individuals share the responsibility of protecting their community from diseases.
The minister lauded the efforts of the ministry’s partners from both public and private sectors in facing challenges in the health sector.
He added that similar activities enhance the UAE’s economy in general and Dubai’s economy in particular as an international hub for global events.
He also added that the Arab Health Exhibition and Conference’s remarkable growth in terms of the number of participants and exhibitors reaffirms the UAE’s success in attracting more industry events, conferences, exhibitions.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and Dubai Shopping Festival, the campaign promotes nutrition guidelines, medical advice and free diabetes, obesity and blood pressure check-ups.
