Health Tourism Marks Rise in Asia

As per the recent figures, medical tourism is marking an unceasing rise in the Asian countries, particularly in countries as India, Thailand and Singapore.

Besides, being discerned as a good location for medical treatments, a majority of treatments offered in these countries are less expensive. However, apart from cost, the overall services being offered, and its quality is claimed to serve as two major factors responsible for luring foreign visitors from all over the world for medical treatments.

In addition, the money yield from it is diverted towards boosting the betterment of the employees who work in the health services.

According to the report by RNCOS published recently the net Asian health tourism industry is estimated to mark a rise at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of over 17 %during 2010-12.

The overall services being offered, and its quality is claimed to serve as two major factors responsible for luring foreign visitors from all over the world for medical treatments.

It is claimed that other countries including Malaysia, the Philippines, and South Korea have initiated to improve and reinforce their healthcare scenario in a bid to attract medical tourism.

Medical tourism could add to over £3 billion to the Indian economy on the annual basis, the BBC claimed.
