HealthPlus Women Health Center operational in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, UAE: HealthPlus Women’s Health Center, the first to open in the planned network of 20 premium outpatient centers, was inaugurated on 16th February 2010. As a distinct ‘Center of Excellence in Women’s Health’ this innovative facility offers a team of competent healthcare professionals dedicated to meeting the unique and changing medical needs of women of all ages.

The Women’s Health Center provides a comprehensive range of sub-specialty services, which include General Obstetrics & Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Urogynecology and Reproductive Medicine. With modern and serene facilities, impeccable customer service and expert physicians, HealthPlus pledges to provide a new and fresh approach to women’s healthcare in the capital.

“The official opening of HealthPlus Women’s Health Center is an exciting new development for regional women-centric care. Empowering women to manage their health and providing them with integrated health services across their life span leads us one step closer to ensuring that healthcare standards are significantly raised,” stated Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, MD & CEO of UEMedical, the developers behind HealthPlus.

Mr. Majd Abu Zant, Chief Executive Officer of HealthPlus, added, “The center aims to address the shortage in sub-specialty services for women in Abu Dhabi. Through this unique model of care our experts will collaborate, keeping the patient at the center treatment, to ensure the best clinical outcomes for women facing complex gynecological problems.”

The doctors will also reach out to the community and work towards changing the framework of perceptions surrounding women’s health in the UAE. “By performing regular screening and promoting health awareness and education, we aim to help

women, and through them, their families, to live longer and healthier lives,” added Mr. Abu Zant.

To celebrate the inauguration of this new facility HealthPlus will hold an open house on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th February, 2010. Women and their families are invited to attend a series of interactive workshops designed to promote awareness towards issues, which impact women’s health. Complimentary screening services and health-checks will also be carried out at the center.

HealthPlus will fill the apparent gaps in the healthcare sector, and focus will continually be placed on medical excellence, patient-centredness and unparalleled levels of customer service. Each center within the HealthPlus network will support the multiple missions of UEMedical, including outstanding patient care and extensive community outreach, and will form part of an integrated healthcare delivery system set to include UEMedical’s flagship project, Danat Al Emarat Women and Children’s Hospital.
