People can avail services at Heart Hospital under the Hamad Medical Corporation in two months period, a senior official has revealed.
Equipped with all the latest equipments and facilities, Heart Hospital is set for official opening in April 2011, a local daily reported yesterday.
The project has been by now delayed for more than three years, since it was originally scheduled to be completed by August 2007.
“All the facilities are ready and we are waiting for the hospital to be operational to serve patients,” said Dr Mahmoud Al Raesi , Executive Director of the Heart hospital. “In the initial phase, the hospital will have 116 beds and later, 50 beds will be added
The hospital will have three heart operation theaters, four catheterization laboratories and blood bank apart from outpatient clinics , pharmacy, x-ray, radiology services, nuclear medicine facilities,short-stay unit and a lecture room.
