A BAHRAIN resident fighting for his life since last month died in hospital yesterday, a few days after his family arrived to be at his bedside.
Keloth Satheesh Keloth Nanu, 58, was in critical condition due to severe liver cirrhosis.
His wife and daughter arrived in Bahrain three days ago to be with him, but he was later pronounced dead at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC).
The Senor Pecos cleaner was admitted to the hospital on November 20 after he collapsed at work.
He was treated for kidney and liver malfunctioning, said his relative Radha Krishnan.
“Keloth was admitted to the hospital after he collapsed at work, but there had been no improvement in his condition for a month,” he said.
His condition deteriorated and he died yesterday morning, he added.
“His wife was informed of his sickness and she came to Bahrain with their daughter just a few days ago,” he said.
“But unfortunately she was unable to spend much time with him.
“She was keeping a daily vigil by his bedside and prayed for his health.
“We got the bad news of his death and all family members are in deep shock.”
Mr Nanu is survived by his wife Ranjini, 45, and daughter Shruti, 22.
His body was repatriated to India last night by Air India Express, accompanied by his family.
Mr Nanu, from Vadakara, Kozhikode district, Kerala, lived in Bahrain for 35 years.
