A workshop titled “Hand in Hand for the Promotion of the Vocational Health and Safety” was held at the Conference Hall of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), Sohar branch yesterday under the auspices of Ali bin Mussalam al Badi, member of Majlis Ash’shura in the Wilayat of Saham.
The workshop was organised by the International Institute of Security, Safety, Health and Environment.
The workshop’s programme included presenting a number of specialised working papers.
Dr Salim bin Said al Wahaibi, Deputy Head of the Vocational Health and Safety Committee at the Manpower Ministry, presented a working paper titled “the strategies of the vocational health and safety committee for the coming five years”.
Dr Gadheer bin Rashid al Wahaibi, Head of the Vocational Health and Safety Department at Muscat Electricity Company, presented a working paper titled “The Importance of Health and Safety in the Society,” while Mohammed bin Hassan al Magaini presented a working paper titled “Production under a Safe Working Environment”.
