International Conference on Trauma Management begins tomorrow in Al-Ain

The Second International Conference on Trauma Management, Critical Care and Prevention will begin tomorrow in Al-Ain.

The conference will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge concerning trauma management and critical care as well as strategies for prevention. Following the success of the inaugural conference last year, this year’s meeting will focus on recent advances and controversies and feature interactive sessions with sixteen renowned international speakers.

The three-day conference will attract a number of healthcare professionals, according to Dr.Said Abu Hasna of Tawam Hospital, Chairman of this year’s International Conference of Trauma, Critical Care Management and Prevention; “This event will particularly appeal to emergency and critical care physicians, radiologists, surgeons, nursing staff, pre-hospital staff as well as epidemiologists in UAE and the region”.

Prof. Stefan Marlovits, Deputy Medical Director, Director of Trauma, Orthopedics and Sport Medicine, Al Ain Hospital commented: “I am proud to be a part of the organizing committee if this conference that I believe is an outstanding program with highly advanced scientific content and workshops plus the review of recent research results and studies, all activities which will help participants to understand and utilize current evidence based recommendations for patient care”.

The conference is jointly organized by the Critical Care Department, Tawam Hospital in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine, Trauma Group, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAE University, Al-Ain Hospital, Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) and Sheikh Hamdan Awards for Medical Sciences.
