Jordanian Minister of Health Visits Dubai Healthcare City

Dr. Nayef Al Fayez, Jordanian Minister of Health, today visited the premises of Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), a member of TECOM Investments.

Abdullatif AlMulla, Group Chief Executive Officer of TECOM Investments, and Dr. Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, Vice-President of the Centre for Healthcare Planning and Quality (CPQ) at DHCC, received the Jordanian minister and the accompanying delegation.

During the talks that focused on potential collaboration areas, Dr. Al Fayez offered to supply the UAE healthcare institutions with qualified medical personnel from Jordan. The Jordanian minister also extended an official invitation to AlMulla to visit Amman and look into opportunities for investment in the health and wellness industries.

Dr. Al Fayez was led through a presentation on the development of DHCC, which currently hosts over 90 outpatient facilities and two hospitals. The minister was also provided an overview of CPQ, the regulatory body for the healthcare free zone that is responsible for maintaining high standards in clinical care and patient safety through its licensing and monitoring activities.

DHCC has made dramatic progress over the past seven years, achieving over 45 per cent year-on-year growth in the number of companies registered under it.
