Lifeline Medical Alert Service offered by Philips

The dignity of independent living is strong. Nothing is more reassuring than living among familiar surroundings, in your own home – that comfy armchair, the coziness of your own bed. Yet as age advances, physical limitations can slow you down and threaten this independence.

For seniors who live alone, support of friends and family is welcome relief. But what if that support is not available in the face of a sudden medical emergency? Is help at hand if you take a fall in your bedroom late at night?

With the Philips Lifeline Medical Alert Service fast access to medical help is available. With just the push of a button, help can be on the way.

How does it work?

If you’re at home and need help but cannot get to a phone, just press the Lifeline Personal Help Button.

This small, waterproof button can be worn as a pendant or around the wrist so it is always with you. Press once and Lifeline goes to work:

Is it right for you?

Philips Lifeline currently provides medical alert service to more than 700,000 seniors or disabled people in the U.S.

There are many reasons to consider subscribing to the Lifeline service:

Not only can Lifeline help you increase your peace of mind, but it can allow those who care for you to feel comfortable with the knowledge that their loved one is a ‘button-press’ away from quick access to help.

A choice of service

There are two simple choices necessary to start the Philips Lifeline Medical Alert Service.

First select a Lifeline CarePartner communication device:

  1. Basic Unit – This unit works with your existing telephone and features remote call answering. The high-volume, built-in speaker lets you answer the phone just by pressing the Personal Help Button.
  2. CarePartner Telephone with Reminders – A fully functional phone, the CarePartner Telephone has all the functionality of the Basic Unit plus special features such as:
  • 6 programmable daily, weekly or one-time reminders
  • Lifeline VoiceClock which clearly speaks the time of day
  • TelAssure which reminds users to check in with the response center at least once a month

Next, choose a Personal Help Button:

  1. Classic pendant – This waterproof, jewelry-like pendent is just right for the ladies and weighs under ½ ounce.
  2. Slimline pendant – This unit may be worn as an adjustable pendent or as a modern-looking watch.

Your Lifeline CarePartner ‘hands-free’ communication device and Personal Help Button link you to a trained Personal Response Associate, who can contact your family member or local EMS.
