Under this agreement, Merit obtained an exclusive license for certain valve technology that may be incorporated into non-vascular stents, specifically esophageal stents, to address acid reflux conditions.
Along with this transaction, Merit Medical also obtained an exclusive license for the development and use of certain biomaterial technology for the coating of selected non-vascular stents and gastrointestinal and drainage catheters. In addition, Merit Medical would hold a 14.45% equity stake in Vysera.
For these three transactions, Merit paid approximately $3.9 million in license fees and
