Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali Al Qassim, UAE Minister of Health, received a Spanish medical delegation to discuss bilateral cooperation in the health field.
At the beginning of the meeting that was held in the ministry’s location in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Hanif welcomed the delegation reassuring the relationship between the UAE and Spain as well as the aspirations of the Ministry of Health for more cooperation in the health sector.
Headed by Dr. Santiago Abengoechea, Ophthalmologist del Unidad de DMAE, is visiting the country to get acquainted to the current status of health services and cooperation in various medical specialties.
The UAE Minister of Health reviewed with the delegation the latest progress health facilities, medical and health educational institutes, the success of the private sector and health development in Spain.
The two parties also discussed ways of consolidating relationships between the two countries in educational hospitals and medical education in both public and private sectors.
They also discussed the methods of developing the skills of doctors, nurses and technicians in order to achieve the ministry’s goals in raising the efficiencies of human resources as well as deepening local and international societal relationships and investment in the healthcare sector in the UAE.
