Family Physicians recently held here a lecture on “Gastro-intestinal bleeding”. The event was a part of the “Continuing Medical Education programme” the group has been running for the last five years. It is the longest running CPD (Continuous Professional Development) programme run by the private healthcare group.
“The topics covered are selected on the basis of the clinical need of these practitioners in the Sultanate. More and more physicians are joining the group and are benefiting from this programme. It also gives an opportunity to meet and make friends in their field and discuss cases.
“We have also started an e-journal recently. Important articles from different Medical Journals are circulated in our group for their reference,” said Dr Sanjay Dalal, co-ordinator of the group and the organiser.
Dr Binoy Sebastian, consultant (gastroentorology) at KIMS Oman Hospital, was the guest speaker.
