Over 94,000 Hajis treated in Makkah

From Nov. 7 to Nov. 11, hospitals and primary health care centers here attended to over 94,000 Haj pilgrims, according to a Ministry of Health circular released on Saturday.

The statement said 63,437 pilgrims were treated at primary health care centers, 22,481 in hospitals as outpatients, and 13,524 at emergency sections.

On Thursday, 19,573 pilgrims sought medical attention, a 19 percent increase compared to the same day last year, according to the ministry. Ministry spokesman Khalid Al-Marghalani said these pilgrims were suffering from normal health disorders that could occur at any gathering.
