Saudi prince opens regional office for healthcare services

Saudi Prince Mohammad Ben Khalid Al Abdullah Al Faisal, president and chief executive officer of Al Faisaliah Group, on Wednesday launched the Levant Office for Al Faisaliah Medical Systems (FMS) located in the Business Park in Amman.

During a press conference yesterday to announce the launch of the FMS regional office that will provide healthcare solutions and services, the Saudi prince said the FMS chose to open its regional office in Jordan due to the “significant and pioneering” role Jordan plays in the medical sector in the region.

The FMS, he said, is planning to open a research and development centre in Jordan for the development of healthcare solutions and research, adding that the centre will initially employ 50 persons supported by the three decades of experience at FMS in the field of healthcare solutions and a strategic partnership with (Philips Healthcare). FMS was established in 1972.

The prince added that more jobs will be created in Jordan as the group is planning to transfer some of its works in Saudi Arabia to Jordan.

He indicated that the FMS has also plans to establish a training centre in Jordan in the field of healthcare solutions, adding that the office in Amman will cooperate with existing health entities and facilities in the Kingdom.
