A two-day seminar on “Patient Safety & Infection Control” began at the Office of the Wali of Seeb yesterday under the auspices of Dr Fatima bint Mohammed al Ajmiyah, Director-General of Health Services in the Governorate of Muscat.
Dr Al Ajmiyah in a speech affirmed the importance of the seminar in enhancing the concept of promoting the health care system to take the necessary measures for patient safety.
The seminar deals with patient safety and promoting the health service, infection control during rendering the health service and discussing its role in influencing the safety of the patient, as well as how to control it and address it.
The seminar also deals with the prescription and dispensing process for patients and its relation to his safety and matters related to reporting of faults during rendering the health service to the patient.
