Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), managed by Cleveland Clinic, will organize three prominent conferences during the month of March in Abu Dhabi.
In line with SKMC’s strategic goals towards medical education, the three medical conferences and meetings will focus on different specialties and topics. The first conference, scheduled on 12 March 2011, will be on wound care. The second conference is the Second Biennial Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Conference planned on 17 and 18 March 2011. The third medical meeting is scheduled on 18 – 19 March 2011 under the title of “The Fourth Hand and Shoulder Surgery Meeting”.
While various international and national experts will get together to give presentations during these conferences, the focus would always be to discuss medical topics that are relevant to the Middle East and to the physicians of this community.
Dr. Tej Maini, CEO of SKMC commented, “This series of conferences is part of a continuing drive by SKMC to promote and emphasize its commitment to medical education for the medical society not only in the UAE but in the region.” Dr. Atul Mehta, Chief Medical Officer at SKMC, believes that holding such conferences enhances SKMC role as a provider of comprehensive state-of-the-art patient care services, and as an active promoter of continuous medical education (CME).
