Telemedicine Society of India to orgainse international conference in Orissa

The sixth international conference being organised by the Telemedicine Society of India (TSI) to be held here from November 14 and about 300 delegates from across the country and abroad will attend the conference.

The organising secretary of Telemedicon’10 Prof B N Mohanty told the media persons here on Sunday that Legal experts from Central Law University, Cuttack and physicians from different institutes would prepare a draft document on the recommendation of the panellists for submission to the Ministry of Health through the Medical Council of India.

Delegates from USA, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan would attend the three-day conference.

The meet would see participation of major global players in the field like Polycom, Sony, Global Media, Prognosis and CDAC to update the participants on newer innovations in telemedicine application.

Telemedicine facility would enable poor patients in remote areas to get medical consultancy from specialists of big hospitals and medical colleges.
