Currently, Healthcare Management Systems(HMS)Inc. is assisting a rural health network in Texas to automate its financial activities and contribute to clinical data all the way through a community based Electronic Medical Record.
Hamilton Health Care System, based in Hamilton, Texas is a comprehensive, nonprofit health care system that serves as the parent corporation for nine affiliate organizations.At present, the Hamilton Healthcare System decided to use finanacial and clinical software in its network, offered by HMS. The network mainly consists of 34-bed Hamilton General Hospital, the nearby Family Practice Rural Health Clinic, the Hico Clinic in Hico, Texas and the Family Practice Clinic of Mills County in Goldthwaite, Texas, as well as a special care clinic and community wellness center. The HMS package lets the health network to automate its its patient accounting, accounts payable and eligibility processes as well as share lab results, physician orders, medication administration and transcription and other clinical data through the EMR. The health system began to execute the HMS suite this month as part of as part of its “HHS200: Racing Forward” campaign. The executives look forward to implement aal the software by this summer.
