The construction work of the new gynaecological, paediatrician, birth, and emergency hospital has kicked off in Sharjah.
Dr Hanif Hassan, Minister of Health, said the Dh350 million hospital that will be adjacent to Al Qasimi Hospital will have a capacity for 175 beds.
During a visit to the hospital on the occasion of the 39th UAE National Day celebrations, Dr Hassan inspected the workflow of the paediatric section and was briefed by the physicians about the division’s needs.
Dr Hassan reiterated that his visit comes in the framework of the UAE’s and the Ministry of Health’s National Day celebrations, which represents a precious opportunity to extend good wishes to the hospital’s patients and to follow up the functions of different sections in this medical establishment.
He also stressed that the health service sector is the top priority in the government’s agenda, and that there are direct orders from His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, regarding the enhancement and development of this vital and important sector all around the UAE.
He also pointed out the expansions that are under way in Al Qasimi Hospital.
