Sharjah– The emirate of Sharjah will soon have four new healthcare centres each in Qarain, Nazwa, Batayeh and Khorfakkan.The Director of Sharjah Medical Zone Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saqr Al Qasimi anounced this during a dialogue with the medical committee affiliated with the Sharjah Consultative Council.
Sheikh Al Qasimi noted that currently there are 17 healthcare centres in the emirate. Among these 11 centers are in the remote areas and cater to 95 percent of the population.
He also said that the future healthcare strategy will focus on treating 90 percent of cases at the healthcare centres spread across the emirate and only ten percent will be referred to the hospitals.
