HighRes Biosolutions, the leader in laboratory automation for life sciences, announced today that it is building a system for an undisclosed laboratory in Shanghai, China. The new system will be installed in the fall of 2010 by HighRes and Tekon Biotech Ltd, the Asian distributor representing HighRes in this region.
“Tekon is proud to be working with HighRes during this exciting time for life science research in China”
“We are pleased to be installing the first HighRes system in China,” says Lou Guarracina, President of HighRes. “We’re scheduling tours for anyone interested in seeing the system running at the customer site in Shanghai. This system is mostly running cell-based combination drug studies. Our patented docking technology allows them to swap out their high-content readers for multimode readers to run enzyme-based biochemical assays.”
“Tekon is proud to be working with HighRes during this exciting time for life science research in China,” said Sanger Chang, General Manager of Tekon Biotech in Shanghai. “This is a great milestone for a company that provides what will be quickly recognized in our region of the world as the most innovative automation.”
HighRes’ patented instrument docking technology has revolutionized laboratory automation, making integrated systems, such as NanoCell™ and MicroStar™, extremely modular and flexible. The system also includes HighRes’ new self-sterilizing automated incubator, SteriStore™.
