The two hospitals are Dubai Hospital and Rashid Hospital.
Dr Khalil Qayed, Director of the Medical Education Department at the DHA said,
“This is a significant step for us and this accreditation reflects the high-level of quality services we provide in our hospitals. The medical field is ever-evolving and at the DHA it is our endeavour to provide our doctors with opportunities where they can receive training in the latest advances in medicine.”
“This accreditation means that our doctors can now receive training in general surgery within the DHA hospitals itself and since the training is recognised by the board, our doctors will be eligible to give their Arab Board examinations once they have completed their five-year training with us. This provides a tremendous boost for our doctors and makes it more convenient for them to undertake the examinations and receive their certification in general surgery.”
