The event was organised by the Health Education Services Department in King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, and gathered more than 1,000 women at the Prince Salman Social Center. Dr. Mona Sanan, consultant at Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd., a pioneering producer of dairy products and juices in the KSA and the largest juice manufacturer in the Middle East was the only speaker invited from the private sector, reflecting the healthcare sector’s trust and respect for Al Rabie and its strict quality control practices. In her presentation, Dr. Mona discussed about antioxidants and their role in promoting good health; importance of a proper diet, health benefits of breastfeeding, dangers of obesity, and the importance of exercise. She stressed that good health can only be achieved through a combination of proper eating habits, following an active, healthy lifestyle and learning how to avoid and cope with stress.
“At Al Rabie we support women’s health by creating awareness through promoting health education, producing and distributing healthy food products that meet and exceed customer expectations and in line with our vision ‘health for all.’ Given the rise of global health issues, Al Rabie is dedicated to put the general health of consumers above all, making sure that their health is never compromised,” said Dr. Mona.
Al Rabie constantly coordinates with the healthcare community to discuss key health issues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and ensure that its products meet the nutritional needs of the domestic population. In May 2009, more than 150 health and nutrition advisers and specialists from hospitals and government agencies in the KSA evaluated the entire food product line of Al Rabie.
