AMD Global Telemedicine, Inc., the world’s leading supplier of telemedicine technology, devices, and application software for both dynamic encounters (live telemedicine) and deferred consultations, announced that it has expanded its Telemedicine Design Group offerings to now include new training and program consultation offerings specifically geared towards educating future telemedicine trainers.
Leveraging its experience in the telemedicine device market, the newly redesigned training program implemented by AMD’s Telemedicine Design Group focuses on providing future telemedicine trainers with the knowledge and tools needed to understand how to use AMD’s telemedicine devices and software while also providing them with tools and tips for conducting an effective clinical telemedicine encounter.
The program highlights AMD’s commitment to being a Telemedicine Encounter Management (TEMS™) company and offering end-to-end Encounter Management Systems for the process, techniques and management of the patient/doctor experience before, during and after the telemedicine consult.
Trainings and consultations can be customized to each telemedicine program’s individual needs and concerns. Upon successful completion of the course and evaluation, participants are awarded AMD Global Telemedicine User Certification.
Key organizations like Ascension Health, Mayo Clinics, Molina Healthcare and United Health have already begun to leverage AMD’s training offerings within their own telemedicine programs.
Managers, supervisors and team leaders who have completed the program will now be able to provide on-going training whenever needed, preventing the interruption scheduling of formal training sessions might have caused and minimizing future training needs that arise due to turnover.
“The AMD’s training program that the Saint Thomas Health System recently took part in has given our team the knowledge, skills and tools to effectively and confidently deliver future care and consultation using our telemedicine solutions,” stated Sherry Watson of Saint Thomas Health System, a member of Ascension Health.
“We wanted to create a telemedicine training program that would provide both new and experienced telemedicine users with the knowledge to invoke a powerful model of peer-to-peer learning that will allow telemedicine programs to be successful for years to come,” stated AMD Global Telemedicine’s President, Steven Normandin.
“AMD has made a clear commitment to helping telemedicine programs improve their processes, achieve growth and long term success. We are extremely pleased to offer a range of training and consultation services to facilitate this.”
