Eppendorf a biotech company from Germany introduced a new standard in pipetting at the The ARAB LAB and ARAB HEALTH exhibitions 2010
The ultra light Eppendorf Research® Plus pipettes meet the highest needs in precision and accuracy – combined with ultimate ergonomics and increased flexibility.
It is a good feeling to know you are doing the right thing – to know you are working with the most advanced pipette in the world. A spring loaded tip cone, a secondary calibration option, an improved volume display, all this in an ultra light, fully autoclavable pipette: That is the new Eppendorf Research plus pipette.
Weighing between 71g – 75g, these ultra light Research® Plus pipettes require extremely low forces of 1.2N – 1.5N for operation. Conventional pipettes require up to 6N force and are therefore significantly harder to operate.

Eppendorf has attended a recent press day in Cambridge to showcase some of its new advances in pipette technology.
The science company was present at the event at Clare College in order to demonstrate its Eppendorf Research plus device, which is designed to offer ergonomic benefits to users in the laboratory science sector.
Geoff Simmons, Eppendorf’s UK marketing manager, stated that the lightweight nature of the pipette, combined with its low aspirations and tip ejection force, help to mitigate the risk of repetitive strain injury.
He added: “Every detail of the Research plus has been designed to provide outstanding ease of use ? Our commitment to the user keeps us at the forefront of ergonomic design.”
The firm also offered a preview of the electronic Eppendorf Xplorer pipette at the event ahead of its full debut next month.
Earlier this month, the company launched the Eppendorf Eporator, a user-friendly device designed to facilitate experiments involving bacteria and yeast.
