The Korean Hospital Association is spearheading in making HMA happen in Korea. HMA in Seoul will assemble over 50 world-class speakers – all practitioners and experts in hospital management to share their insights, skills and practical tips with an estimated 700 managers of hospitals in Asia. HMA, now on its ninth year, has established itself as the conference that brings Worldwide Hospital Management Thinking and Experience to senior hospital managers in Asia. An integral part of HMA is the Asian Hospital Management Awards (AHMA). The prestigious AHMA recognizes and honors hospitals in Asia that carry out best hospital practices. Hospitals from all over the region are encouraged to nominate themselves and enter their successful projects, programs, or best practices. The awards categories are: Community Service Project, Customer Service Project, Human Resource Development Project, Internal Customer Service Project, Marketing, PR or Promotional Project, Patient Safety/Quality Medical Care Project and Departmental Service Improvement Project. Last year’s event was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was the biggest to date with a record-breaking 722 delegates from 18 countries.
