ATHENS, GA – Athens Regional Medical Centre is Northeast Georgia’s largest health care services, committed to excellence and dedicated to improving the health, wellness and quality of life. Obviously, the Athens is implementing the Eclipsys PeakPractice EMR/PM solution help to connect patients and physicians in the northeastern part of the state. Eclipsys is a leading provider of information solutions that help hospitals and health systems more-effectively manage the business of healthcare and achieve measurable and sustainable, improved outcomes It is expected that the solution will satisfy the gratify the government’s standards of IT specifications that would qualify the hospital for stimulus grants in 2011.
Tim Penning, the hospital’s CIO says that this program will support the operational efficiency in the centre and also adopting the technology that support improved care delivery. By adopting the technology the centre also make it easier for the physicians to receive economic benefit because the PeakPractice solution offers capabilities to help physicians to qualify incentives under American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
