In response to the growing homecare and therapy markets, and the importance of “aging-in-place” as an alternative solution to institutionalized care, Delta Health Technologies, LLC (“Delta”) today announced the introduction of ClinicalVirtuoso™ — the first clinical solution developed to optimize the homecare therapist.
ClinicalVirtuoso enables the clinician to do what they do best: utilize their talent and skill to focus on the patient. ClinicalVirtuoso does the rest through the use of a decision support workflow system to facilitate effective documentation without having to consider “best practices”, regulations or accreditation criteria. The self-supporting and self-installable Software as a Service (SaaS) solution helps therapists document care efficiently and effectively in a single format, including scheduling, evaluations and follow-ups.
The initial version, announced at the National Association for Homecare & Hospice (NAHC) 29th Annual Meeting & Exposition, and available in Q1 2011, has been designed for independent contractors who specialize in providing therapy services to homecare patients, whether they work for one or multiple agencies. ClinicalVirtuoso is the first solution to be offered at no charge to the general homecare therapist population; additional premium optional add-ons will be available in 2011.
ClinicalVirtuoso utilizes Microsoft® Silverlight™ technology (Version 4 or higher) and is compatible with multiple Web browser products used on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. It will auto-sync when network connections are available, and also will run without requiring real-time connection to a phone network or Internet. ClinicalVirtuoso is also the first solution designed to connect to homecare back office solutions, including Delta’s Encore®.
“There are a lot of ‘firsts’ with ClinicalVirtuoso,” said Keith Crownover, president & CEO, Delta Health Technologies. “It is the first intuitive solution designed around therapy practice tips and guidelines, including the strategies recently established at the Delta National Excellence in Therapy Forum. Best of all, it’s the first solution therapists will want to use because it helps them work faster, smarter and safer at the point of care.”
