The second Social and Medical Home Health Care Conference (SMHHCC) will be held Tuesday and Wednesday in Jeddah, bringing together a number of local and international experts. It is being held under the auspices of Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeah, Minister of Health.
There will be more than 15 speakers from countries including Saudi Arabia, Canada, Lebanon, United States, Sweden and Malaysia.
The event is being organized by the National Home Health Care Foundation (NHHCF) under the theme “Health and Humanitarian Partnership – Building a Culture of Excellence”.
The conference is aimed at specialists at public and private hospitals, health center managers, health insurance companies, home health care officials, and specialized medical health companies in the Kingdom.
Dr. Kitab Al-Otaibi, the Director of Medical Services of the Armed Forces, who will be one of the speakers, said the conference aims to introduce the benefits of home health care to key decision makers within the Kingdom and raise community awareness on the issue.
Another key speaker, Dr. Walid Fitaihi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and chief executive officer of the International Medical Center, said the event will center on key topics, including home health care in Saudi Arabia, the role of the media and society, quality of service providers, international experience, costs, patients and families.
