Most of the heart patients could be saved by creating proper awareness and using latest treatment techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), health experts said.
They expressed this while speaking at Continue Medical Education program organized by Department of Skills Lab at the Liaquat National Hospital here on Saturday.
The speakers highlighted the importance of CPR in the survival of patients facing cardiac diseases. Chairman Department of Skills Lab Dr. Mabroor A. Bhatty said it was also mandatory to keep yourselves updated with the latest knowledge in the field of resuscitation.
Dr SM Nadeem consultant anesthetist discussed the latest update on basic life support for healthcare providers. He stressed that CPR has to be effective & efficient for best results. Dr. Younis Khatri, expert in Anesthesiology, also spoke.
