Nouf Khamis Al Ali of the Health Education Department, Ministry of Health, stated that there was a remarkable progress in the services of the Iphone applications that enabled the audience to get introduced to the services of the Ministry. This proves the ministry’s success in achieving the concepts of the federal government strategy in raising the community services to coincide with the requirements and demands of the modern era.
She said: “The first indications reveal that the numbers of registered users is remarkably increasing. The ministry’s call center has received about 500 phone calls from the customers to enquire about the services in addition to 50 daily calls with an average of 10975 calls per month”.
The Ministry aims behind using such modern technologies for satisfying the customers and taking the advantages of these applications in delivering the ministry’s services to the public, completing the customers’ transactions easily in order to save their time and efforts.
The Iphone application proved the success of direct contact of the public with the ministry’s call center and provide the search service of the nearest healthcare center and location.
The Iphone application includes a list of the ministry’s hospitals, healthcare centers and pharmacies; the callers can directly get details about the nearest location of the ministry’s hospital, healthcare center, or pharmacy. It also provide health tips and news release services, communication gate with the ministry either through email or ministry’s portal.
All the applications have been provided in Arabic and English languages in cooperation with ETISALAT.
