“GE is highlighting its thought leadership in sustainable healthcare delivery through a focus on maximizing efficiencies, ensuring precision medicine, reducing costs and improving quality through our participation at the event.
We believe that fostering public private partnerships in healthcare delivery is crucial, as we have demonstrated through our business associations across the Middle East region.”
Co-sponsored by the Health Authority and the Tourism Authority of Abu Dhabi, the World Health Care Congress Middle East brings together more than 500 global thought leaders and decision makers in the industry to share global best practices.
GE Healthcare, as “educational underwriters” of the event, highlights initiatives that are critical to the Middle East region in addressing the pressing healthcare challenges. Key among the concerns faced in the sector is the soaring cost of healthcare delivery, which is billed to increase five-fold by 2025 to $60 billion.
GE’s healthymagination initiative, is a six-year, $6 billion drive to improve the quality, affordability and availability of healthcare across the world.
GE had recently introduced its eHealth suite of solutions to the Middle East region, which supports precision care.
It enables the secure sharing of health information for improved care by equipping providers with timely patient data, help reduce costs by eliminating redundant procedures, and empower consumers to make more informed health decisions by providing health histories and wellness services.
GE has already validated 24 healthymagination products, established a $250 million equity fund, invested $700 million in research and development.
