The Thailand Embassy will host its first ever medical road show on October 5 to raise more awareness about how their country has become an emerging favourite destination for medical tourism.
Thai Ambassador Suvat Chiparant said at least eight medical specialists will be participating in the event to be held at the Oryx Rotana where they will make presentations about modern medical facilities and services Thailand has been offering to tourists.
The medical experts are based from four major hospitals in Thailand which have been drawing a lot of tourists from all over the world to avail treatment for different illnesses.
Chiparant said their government has started doing an all-out promotion on medical tourism especially in the Middle East countries to let people aware that Thailand has been back to its normal situation after the brief political disruption last May.
He said the road show would be also an opportune time to invite Qataris and other expatriates who have been frequenting their country for medical treatment about the new developments in Thailand’s medical tourism industry.
Over the past few years, Thailand has become an emerging favourite medical tourism destination after tourists noticed that its major hospitals can offer modern yet affordable facilities and services.
