Abu Dhabi, 8th April 2010 — The Ministry of Health hosts a number of consultants in various medical specialties from 10th April till 1st May 2010 for examination and treatment of critical cases in hospitals of the northern emirates as part of the visiting doctors program.
Nasser Khelifa Al Bodoor, Director of External Relations and International Organizations at the Ministry of Health, indicated that the ministry attracts international expertise in different medical specialties to make subsequent visits to the northern emirates hospitals in order to facilitate medical procedures for UAE nationals and residents and at the same time limit the travel of patients to receive treatment abroad.
Al Bodoor explained that Fujairah Public Hospital will receive on 10-11 April Dr. Mahesh Chandra, laparoscopic surgeon at India Institute of Medical Sciences, while Khelifa Hospital in Ajman will also receive Dr. Graham Sefton, orthopedic surgeon in Harrogate Medical District from 24-30 April.
He said: “On the same date, Ras al Khaimah Saqr Hospital will host Dr. Simon Bignell, neonatology surgeon at Portland Hospital in London and Dr. Mohammad Ghunaim, urology and kidney surgeon at Al Mansoura Hospital in Egypt to examine and treat critical cases in Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah. Other visitors are Dr. Robert Hill, pediatric orthopedic surgeon from Portland Hospital in London who will also treat critical cases for children”
