As a part of its leadership program, the Saudi Alzheimer’s Disease Association (SADA) visited schools in the city to introduce its program and to explain the advantages of volunteer work.
The Volunteer’s Committee at SADA initiated the program through announcing a short-story competition entitled “An Alzheimer’s patient in our house.”
The competition is expected to attract between 100 and 400 students from participating schools.
SADA was formed in 2009 to rally support for Alzheimer’s patients.
It set up a committee to focus on the importance of volunteer work as part of its patient support program, training volunteers and benefiting from their abilities to achieve its goals.
