Dr. Salem Al Darmaki, Acting Director General of the Ministry of Health stated that the ministry seeks for activating the role of the health research higher committee to achieve its goals towards following up and studying the researches that are related to the health and medical practices. This was stated after his attendance to the second meeting of the committee.
He said: “The ministry gives great interest to research fields and studies that are related to the healthcare services as well as treatment and preventive techniques. The committee adopts accurate information techniques depending on the reality of health status in the UAE”.
Dr. Al Darmaki added that His Excellency Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali Al Qassim gives great concern to the researches and studies that embody the reality of the healthcare field and the future strategies and plans’ pointing out that the higher committee approves health researches that are characterized with authentication, honesty and subjectivity. The committee also highlights studies of different practices in the health sector.
It is worth mentioning to know that the studies discuss communicable and chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardio and cancers in cooperation with competent health authorities in the UAE. The committee strengthens the role of scientific studies by using modern techniques to achieve the national goals in the healthcare sector.
