H1N1 treatment available at private clinics

MUSCAT — An official source at the department of private health institutions affairs at the Ministry of HealthMinistry of Health said here yesterday that the ministryministry has approved some private health institutions as centres to dispense H1N1 medications free of charge for citizens and residents.

The medical consultation and diagnosis would be according to the regulations of each health institution, the source added.

The health institutions authorised to dispense H1N1 medication are:
Wilayat of Muttrah: KIMS Oman Hospital; Bombay Medical and Diagnostic Centre; Apollo Medical Centre; Al Hayat Polyclinic; Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and Polyclinics; Lama Polyclinic; Al Rimah Medical Centre; Al Amal Medical & Healthcare Centre; Al Massarat Clinic & Laboratory; Al Zahra Medical Complex; International Medical Speciality Centre; and International Centre.

Wilayat of Bausher: Al Raffah Private Hospital; Atlas Star Medical Centre; Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and Polyclinics; Lama Polyclinic; Al Bashair Specialised Medical Centre; Muscat Private Hospital; Health 4 All, and Al Salamah Medical Centre.

Wilayat of Seeb: Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and Polyclinics; Lama Polyclinic, and Alexandria Polyclinic.

Wilayat of Barka: Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and Polyclinics.

Wilayat of Sohar: Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and Polyclinics; Lama Polyclinic, and Al Raffah Polyclinic.

Wilayat of Ibri: Oman Polyclinic.

Wilayat of Sur: Sur Private Hospital and Al Noor Polyclinic.

Wilayat of Nizwa: Nizwa Polyclinic.

Buraimi: Elias Polyclinic.

Dhofar: Liya Medical Complex; Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and Polyclinics and Al Razi Polyclinic. Meanwhile, the H1N1 committee yesterday announced the 13th casualty, a 28-year-old woman.

The Health Ministry said the number of cases infected with the H1N1 virus touched 1,455 so far. The Directorate-General of Health Services at the Dakhiliyah region organised an H1N1 seminar at the OCCI Nizwa branch under the auspices of Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeedi.
