The fifth annual SC MedTech Conference is to run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Westin Poinsett hotel in Greenville.
Gregory F. Zaic, a senior partner with Nexus Medical Partners, is the planned keynote speaker.
Zaic will focus on the challenges companies are facing in the current economy, as well as the status of medtech venture capital investing, according to a statement. He will also discuss attracting biomedical companies to South Carolina.
The MedTech program focuses on the creation and growth of medical device and related biomedical business opportunities. The meeting offers an opportunity to meet biomedical, clinical and regulatory professionals including technical entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and academics.
South Carolina medical device companies that actively research, manufacture and sell products in the medical device supply chain will be showcased as part of the event.
In addition, licensing opportunities from Clemson University, the Medical University of South Carolina and the Medical College of Georgia will be presented at the conference.
